GRAND HAVEN, MICH. - The Grand Valley State men's golf team finished off day two at the Folds of Honor Collegiate at the American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven. The lone Division II school in the field, the Lakers are through 36 holes in 10
th place.
Results
Georgia Tech continues to lead, but their advantage has dwindled down to one stroke after Notre Dame and Texas both had big days to rise the leaderboard into a tie for second at -11. Six shots back of them is Alabama in fourth, with Cincinnati rounding out the top five at even par. The Lakers shot even today as a team to remain in tenth with a score of +6.
Finley Dober used six birdied and a second round of 68 (-3) to climb 29 spots into a tie for 18
th at even par.
Maverick Conaway rose 27 spots into a tie for 29
th at two over par, following his round of 69 (-2) with six birdies.
Nicolas Vincent sank a hole in one on hole number seven as part of his round of 77 (+6) to end in a tie for 40
th. One shot back of him is
Ryan Gallagher, who carded a 75 (+4) with three birdies to end in a tie for 46
th.
Jack Whitmore shot a 72 (+1) with three birdies to finish the day in a tie for 63
rd at +13.
