ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team notched their notched their third straight shutout win after sweeping Saginaw Valley State 7-0 Friday (Apr. 3) afternoon at the GVSU Tennis Courts. The Lakers improve to 12-1 on the season and 4-0 in the GLIAC while improving their win streak to six matches.
GVSU swept doubles action to claim the doubles point.
Natasha Sengphrachanh and
Rachel Sam tallied a 6-2 win at the top doubles position.
Ipek Sakiroglu and
Mischa Briggs posted a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
Amanda Diaz and
Lauren Burkett notched a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Natasha Sengphrachanh claimed a 6-2, 6-0 straight set win at the top doubles position.
Mischa Briggs tallied a 6-1, 6-4 straight set win at No. 2 singles.
