MIDLAND, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed the GLIAC tournament championship with a 4-1 over Ferris State Saturday morning. The Lakers improve to 17-1 on the season and have punched their ticket to the NCAA tournament.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.

Vale Mozas tallied a 6-3 win at the top doubles position.

Ipek Sakiroglu posted a 6-3 win at the No. 2 doubles position.

Vale Mozas 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.
Anna Soteras tallied a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
Lauren Burkett posted a dominant 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles.
