GRANDVILLE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team closed out the regular season with a dominate 7-0 sweep over Davenport Saturday (Apr. 18) evening at Premier Athletic and Tennis Club. The Lakers improve to 11-5 on the season and 5-1 in the GLIAC.
GVSU swept doubles action to earn the doubles point.
Bora Bakici and
Patricio Sepulveda claimed a 6-3 win at the top doubles position.
Stephen Claassen and
Lawrence Ivanov tallied a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles.
Jorge Ruiz and
Andreu Martin posted a dominate 6-0 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Bora Bakici claimed a 6-3, 7-5 straight set win at the top singles position.
Jorge Ruiz tallied a 7-6, 6-1 straight set win at No. 2 singles.
Axel Le Ho posted a 6-4, 6-2 straight set win at No. 3 singles.
Patricio Sepulveda recorded a 6-0, 6-2 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Stephen Claassen claimed a dominate 6-1, 6-0 straight set win at No. 6 singles.
