ALLENDALE, MICH. – The postseason is set to begin for the Grand Valley State women's golf team. The Lakers will tee of Saturday morning in the GLIAC Championships, played at Stonehedge Golf Course in Augusta, Michigan.

All eight teams will play two rounds of stroke play on Saturday, then a third round Sunday morning. The top two teams after those 54 holes will move on to that afternoon's medal match play championship. The winner of the match will be crowned the GLIAC Champion.
The Lakers have won two straight GLIAC titles, and six of the previous seven league championships. In total, GVSU has won 19 conference championships dating back to their first one in 2001.
Playing this weekend for Grand Valley State are
Evelyn Park,
Charlotte Goersch,
Lea Stotz,
Rachael Krieger, and
Heida Rafnsdottir. Goersch and Stotz are both ranked inside the top 50 nationally, while Krieger is 90
th. Rafnsdottir just came off her first collegiate win at the UMSL Spring Invitational, where Park also placed top 10.
