ST. LOUIS, MO. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team closed out the regular season in a big way. The Lakers claimed the team title at the UMSL Spring Invitational by seven strokes, their fourth victory of the season. On the individual side, freshman
Heida Rafnsdottir earned her first career victory.
Results
The Lakers finished the three rounds at +23, seven strokes up on second-place USML. Ferris State came in third at +41, followed by North Georgia in fourth, and UIndy ended in fifth.
Heida Rafnsdottir maintained her spot atop the individual leaderboard, winning her first collegiate tournament. The freshman shot a final round of 69 (-2), making four birdies to finish at one under.
Lea Stotz shot an even par 71 with three birdies in the last round to end in eighth at +9. One shot back of her in a tie for ninth was
Evelyn Park, who made one birdie in her round of 80 (+9) today.
Rachael Krieger and
Charlotte Goersch both tied for 17
th at +13. Krieger shot a 74 (+3) today with four birdies, while Goersch made one birdie in her round of 79 (+8).
