#8 Grand Valley State (12-1) claimed a 27-6 victory at Missouri S&T Sunday (Mar. 8) afternoon in game two of a four game series. The game was shortened to seven innings. The Lakers and Miners will play a doubleheader Monday beginning at 12 p.m.

GVSU scored single runs in the first and second innings and then put up six in the top of the fourth. Missouri S&T scored three in the bottom half of the fourth, but a GVSU 10-spot in the fifth inning put the game out of reach. The Lakers set a program record in the fifth with two grand slams, one by catcher
Nick Krstich and one by CF
Jake Skaggs. The Lakers added nine runs in the top of the seventh.

Skaggs was 2-for-5 with five RBI, five runs scored and a grand slam, while Krstich was 1-for-2 with four RBI and a grand slam. LF
