GRANDVILLE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team dominated Ferris State 7-0 Saturday (Mar. 28) evening at Premier Athletic and Tennis Club. The Lakers improve to 11-1 on the season and 3-0 in the GLIAC after winning their fifth straight game.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
Natasha Sengphrachanh and
Vale Mozas tallied a 6-2 win at the top doubles position.
Ipek Sakiroglu and
Mischa Briggs posted a dominate 6-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Rachel Sam and Lauren Burket dropped a 3-6 decision at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Natasha Sengphrachanh claimed a 6-4, 6-1 straight set at the top singles position to improve to 11-0 all from the top position.
Mischa Briggs tallied a 6-2, 6-0 straight set win at No. 2 singles.
Vale Mozas posted a 6-2, 6-4 straight set win at No. 3 singles.
Ipek Sakiroglu tallied a dominate 6-0, 6-1 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Anna Soteras recorded a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win at No. 5 singles.
Amanda Diaz added a 7-5, 6-1 straight set win at No. 6 singles.
