TAMPA, Fla. – The Grand Valey State women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 win at Tampa Friday (Mar. 13) afternoon in the final game of the Florida trip. The Lakers improve to 8-1 on the season.
 
GVSU swept doubles action to claim the doubles point. Vale Mozas and Natasha Sengphrachanh claimed a 6-3 win at the top doubles position. Mischa Briggs and Ipek Sakiroglu tallied a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles. Lauren Burkett and Rachell Sam added a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles. 
 
In singles action, Natasha Sengphrachanh claimed a dominate 6-1, 6-1 win at the top singles position. Mischa Briggs tallied a 6-3, 6-1 straight set win at No. 2 singles. Vale Mozas posted a 6-2, 6-4 straight set win at No. 3 singles. Lauren Burkett recorded a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win at No. 5 singles. Amanda Diaz added a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles. Anna Soteras dropped a 6-1, 6-7, 7-10 decision at No. 4 singles.
