LAKELAND, Fla. – The Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell 5-1 at Florida Southern Tuesday (Mar. 10) afternoon in the sunshine state. The Lakers fall to 5-3 on the season.
Florida Southern swept doubles action to claim the doubles point.
Bora Bakici and
Patricio Sepulveda dropped a tough 4-6 decision at the top doubles position.
Stephen Claassen and
Lawrence Ivanov fell 2-6 at No. 2 doubles, while
Andreu Martin and
Denys Zamaraiev dropped a 6-7 decision at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Bora Bakici claimed a 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 three-set win at No. 2 singles.
Denys Zamaraiev dropped a tough 3-6, 1-6 decision at the top singles position.
Jorge Ruiz lost a tough 4-6, 3-6 decision at No. 3 singles. Axel Leo Ho fell 3-6, 3-6 at No. 4 singles, while
Patricio Sepulveda dropped a 3-6, 3-6 decision at No. 5 singles.
