Joshua Page & Shelby Ulven Earn Weekly GLIAC Indoor Track & Field Athlete Honors

ALLENDALE, Mich. – Two Grand Valley State athletes have been named Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Indoor Track & Field Athletes, as announced by the conference this afternoon. Joshua Page was named this week's Track Athlete of the Week and Shelby Ulven earned Field Athlete of the Week honors.

Joshua Page, R-Sr. – Following his school record-breaking performance at this weekend's Ashland University Jud Logan Light Giver Invitational, Page has earned his first GLIAC Athlete of the Week honors. Up against Ashland alum and Adidas athlete Trevor Bassitt, Page rounded the 400m track in 46.57, shaving more than one second off his previous personal-best (47.44) in the indoor event. The time shattered Myles Rhodes's program record of 47.42 and ranks him third in NCAA Division II.

Shelby Ulven, R-Sr. – Redshirt senior Shelby Ulven broke her personal-best yet again at this weekend's GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet. Throughout the season, Ulven has consistently thrown over 19.50m (63-11), a mark she couldn't quite reach until this season. In this field series, Ulven had three of five throws land at 19.70m (64-7) or further. It was her third throw that landed her a new personal-best mark of 19.95m (65-5.5). The mark solidifies her rank at No. 6 in program history and No. 4 across NCAA Division II women's weight throw.
