ALLENDALE, Mich. – Grand Valley State track and field is back in action this weekend as they host the annual GVSU Mike Lints Alumni Meet. A total of 77 athletes will represent Grand Valley State in uniform on Saturday across 26 events. Both field and running events will begin at 1 p.m.

GVSU women's and men's track and field heads into the weekend ranked second and third in NCAA Division II. The women lead the nation in two events, the 800m and shot put, while the men lead in high jump, pole vault and weight throw.
A total of 796 athletes from 46 teams will compete at Saturday's meet. GVSU leads the field in five events.
Heidi Newhouse leads women's high jump with a season-best 1 .70m (5-7) and
Zoe Zeiser leads women's long jump with a mark of 5.78m (18-11.75).
Dolan Gonzales leads the men in pole vault with his season-best 5.35m (17-6.5), ranking first in NCAA Division II.
Shelby Ulven rounds out the field with a personal-best 19.93m (65-4) weight throw mark.
Three Lakers are at the forefront of running events.
Jackson Hayward leads the men's 200m with an entry time of 21.51 and
Landyn Howell (4:57.91) and
Ian Fowler (4:11.17) are seeded first in the mile.
