#8 Grand Valley State scored early and often in a 20-2 victory over Hillsdale College Friday (Feb. 27) afternoon at Mountain Dew Park in Marion, Ill. The Lakers, now 7-1, will play the Chargers in a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 pm ET.
The Lakers scored early and often which led to the contest being shortened to seven innings. GVSU put up a crooked number in five of seven at bats, including a three-run spot in the top of the first and pounded out 17 hits in the game. The Lakers added three runs in the third, two in the fourth, four in the fifth and eight in the sixth.
Senior RHP
Collin Bradley improved to 2-0, yielding two runs on five hits with six strikeouts in 6.0 innings.
Edward Konow struck out two in the seventh.
Junior 3B
Caleb Estrada hit a 2-run bomb that landed in a lake beyond the left field wall, marking the second time he has blasted a home run into the lake at Mountain Dew Park. He was 3-for-3 with five RBI and two runs scored. Freshman DH

Evan Morrison continued his offensive onslaught with a 3-for-4 outing, four runs scored and two RBI.
