ALLENDALE, Mich. – Grand Valley State's track and field teams take their talent on the road for the first time this season. The sprints and hurdles and field event specialists head to the University of Louisville (Louisville, Ky.) for the annual PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Mid-and-long-distance Lakers will compete at the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational on Saturday.

Fifty one Lakers will compete Friday and Saturday at Louisville. Multi-event athletes
Mason Floria and
Andrew Kraft begin competition at 11 a.m. in the heptathlon 60m dash. The remaining six events will occur throughout Friday and Saturday afternoon. They compete in long jump, shot put and high jump on Friday and 60m hurdles, pole vault and 1000m on Saturday.
Friday's events also include the women's 400m, men's 200m, men's and women's long jump, women's high jump, men's pole vault and men's and women's weight throw.
Saturday will see athletes compete in the 60m dash and hurdles prelims and triple jump in the morning. Afternoon events for GVSU include the men's 400m, 60m dash and hurdles finals, men's high jump, women's pole vault, men's and women's shot put and the women's and men's 4x400m relays.
Fifteen Lakers compete at the Notre Dame Meyo Invite on Saturday. Events include the women's 400m dash, women's and men's 800m run, women's mile, men's Meyo Mile, women's 3000m run, men's Ryan Shay 3000m run and the men's and women's 4x400m relays.
