Women's Golf To Open Season At Folds Of Honor Challenge

ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team will begin their fall season Monday, hosting the Folds of Honor Challenge. The winner of the event will gain an automatic entry into the 2026 Folds of Honor Collegiate.

The three-day event tees off Monday morning, featuring nine teams in the field. There are four ranked Division II programs in the tournament, including three in the top-10. Dallas Baptist is first in the preseason poll, Findlay is fourth, and West Texas A&M is eighth. The Lakers are 11th, then UIndy is receiving votes in the poll as well.
 
This is the second year the Folds of Honor Challenge will have a women's field. In last year's event, GVSU was the runner-up at the event, falling by two strokes to Findlay.
 
Playing in the event for GVSU is Lea Stotz, June Hsiao, Charlotte Goersch, Heida Rafnsdottir, and Rachael Krieger. Three Lakers will also be playing as individuals, Evelyn Park, Lorena Saquicoray, and Skyler Tierney. Tee times have not been released yet for round one.
