ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's golf team finished up their first tournament of the spring, ending in second at the Folds of Honor Challenge. Additionally, the Lakers had two golfers finish inside the top-10.
Results
Findlay claimed the title for the second consecutive season, ending at +13. Grand Valley State took second, finishing at +39, two strokes up on Dallas Baptist in third. West Texas A&M was fourth at +43, with Odessa rounded out the top five at +49.
Charlotte Goersch was the runner-up at even par. She carded a final round of 70 (-1) with six birdies, to climb up two spots into second.
Lea Stotz also recorded a top-10 finish, tying for 10
th at nine over. The sophomore shot a 69 (-2) today, sinking two birdies in the round.
June Hsiao shot a 74 (+3) to end at +11 in a tie for 13
th. In a tie for 27
th was
Rachael Krieger, who shot an 81 (+10), making one birdie.
Heida Rafnsdottir carded an 80 (+9), ending the tournament in a tie for 30
th.
Also, in a tie for 30
th was
Skyler Tierney, who shot a 76 (+5), making two birdies.
Evelyn Park shot an 81 to end in a tie for 40
th, while
Lorena Saquicoray made two birdies in her round of 79 (+8), to end in 46
th.
