Grand Valley State junior
Carter Blough was named a College Sports Communicator Academic All-District honoree it was announced. Blough, who wrestled heavyweight, is the first CSP Academic All-District honoree for the Lakers since the return of wrestling as a varsity sport after a 32-year hiatus.
Blough, who earned NCAA DII All-America honors in the 2024-25 season, finished with a 28-7 mark, including a 10-1 mark in dual meet action. In addition, he won the NCAA DII Super Regional 3 Championship with a 4-0 record. Grand Valley State finished the season second at the NCAA Super Region 3 Tournament, sixth at the NCWCA National Duals and 14th at the NCAA Championships.
