#8 Grand Valley State claimed a 17-1 and 9-4 non-conference victory over Upper Iowa Friday in Peru, Illinois to claim the series 3-0.
GVSU concludes the regular season 39-10 overall.

Game 1

Jayden Dentler picked up the win and moved to 10-0 on the year. Dentler yielded two hits and one run with four strikeouts. Brendan Alvord pitched for the first time in over a year and Collin Bradley gave up two bloop singles with four strikeouts in 2.0 innings of work.

Jonas Gulbrandsen was 4-4 with five RBI, three runs and two home runs, while Ryan Dykstra was 1-5 with three RBI. Brendan Guciardo was 2-3 with an RBI and Nick Krstich was 2-3 with two RBI and a home run. 

Game 2

Alan Thorington went the final 5.0 innings, yielding just four hits with three strikeouts to improve to 6-0 on the year. Owen Avery started and went the first 4.0 innings, yielding 5 hits and striking out five.

Gulbrandsen was 3-5 with three doubles and an RBI, while Dykstra was 2-4 with three RBI. Jovan Gill was 1-5 with two RBI, Evan Morrison was 2-4 with three runs and Ryan Stimac was 2-5 with two runs.

Gulbrandsen recorded six consecutive hits and was 7-9 with six RBI, three doubles and two home runs on the day, while Dykstra was 3-9 with six RBI.
