GVSU First In Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

The Lakers have 817.25 points

Learfield Sports announced the final winter standings for the Directors' Cup and 16-time champion Grand Valley State is first with 817.25 points. GVSU scored 486.25 points in six winter sports and combined with the fall total of 331.00 for the mid-year total. Wingate is second (542.00), Colorado School of Mines third (511.50), Minnesota State (481.25) fourth and Lewis is sixth (445.00). The Lakers' winter total of 486.25 would have placed them fourth in the overall standings. 

Four Laker sports placed among the top four in the final standings, while six sports scored. Women's basketball earned 100 points with the 2025 NCAA DII National Championship, followed by a second-place (90) finish for men's indoor track & field. The women's indoor track & field team finished third (85) and men's swimming & diving team finished fourth (80), followed by an eighth-place finish for women's swimming & diving (70.5) and a 14h-place finish for men's wrestling (60.75).

The point total for 15 sports will be scored for the final standings, four of which must be men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball and women's volleyball.
