#8 Grand Valley State (35-10, 18-6 GLIAC) completed a four-game GLIAC road sweep at Purdue Northwest Sunday, winning the opening game 7-6 and the nightcap 10-9. The Lakers will host Northwood Tuesday at 3 p.m.
Game 1
GVSU built a 5-2 lead after the second, but Purdue Northwest tied the game with a 3-run HR in the bottom of the third. After trading runs in the fourth and fifth innings, 1B

Will Goebel got the final six outs to pick up his fourth save of the season. Senior
Collin Bradley got the win, yielding six runs on eight hits in 5.0 innings of work. Gill was 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored, while DH
Jonas Gulbrandsen was 2-4 with an RBI and a run scored.Â
Game 2
Purdue Northwest jumped out to a 5-2 lead after three innings, but GVSU clawed its way back into the game with two runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to take a 7-6 lead. C
Nick Krstich provided a 2-run triple to pull GVSU within a run (5-4) in the fifth. Krstich put the finishing touches on a 3-run sixth inning with an RBI single to put GVSU up 7-6. GVSU held a 7-6 lead until the top of the ninth when LF
Ryan Dykstra hit a 3-run HR to give the Lakers a 10-6 lead. Purdue NW hit a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth and loaded the bases with two outs. A single scored two runs and the potential game-tieing run was thrown out at home plate 7-6-2 to seal the win.Â
Ayden VanEnkevort picked up the win (2-1), yielding four runs on six hits with three strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work. Dykstra was 2-6 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Krstich was 3-5 with three RBI. Gill was 2-5 with and RBI and a run scored.Â
