#8 Grand Valley State swept a GLIAC DH at Purdue Northwest Saturday, winning game one 5-4 and game two 8-2. The Lakers and Pride will play a Sunday doubleheader in Hammond, Indiana beginning at 1 p.m. (ET).

Caleb Estrada hit a solo home run in the top of the seventh, his first home run of the year, to give the Lakers a 5-4 lead. Senior relief pitcher
Colby Phipps got the final three outs for his fifth save of the year. Senior
Jayden Dentler improved to 9-0 with the win on the mound, yielding four runs on seven hits.
Estrada was 2-2 with two RBI, two runs scored, a double and the game-winning RBI. SS
Evan Morrison was 1-4 with a two-run double, 2B
Ayden VanEnkevort was 2-3 with a run scored and RF
Ryan Stimac was 1-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Game 2
GVSU took a 1-0 lead in the first when DH
Jonas Gulbrandsen singled home Morrison. The Lakers added four in the second on three hits when Estrada doubled, followed by a Morrison double and 1B
Jovan Gill singled home Morrison. CF Caleb Thelen tripled home VanEnkevort in the third to up the Laker lead to 6-1. The Lakers added single runs in the fourth and the seventh.
Owen Avery (5-3) picked up the win, yielding one run on five hits with seven strikeouts in five innings.
Zach Warren picked up the three inning save, giving up two hits in 3.0 innings of work. Morrison was 2-4 with two RBI and two runs scored, while Gulbrandsen and VanEnkevort tallied two hits and an RBI.
