ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 6-1 win over Lake Superior State Friday (April 11) afternoon. The Lakers improve to 11-4 on the season and 5-1 in the GLIAC.
GVSU swept doubles action to claim he doubles point.
Neus Ramos and
Vale Mozas claimed a 7-6 win at the top doubles position.
Rachel Sam and
Estefania Hernandez tallied a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
Ipek Sakiroglu and
Kalomoira Ralli added a dominant 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Vale Mozas claimed a 6-2, 6-1 straight set win at No. 2 singles.
Anna Soteras tallied a 6-3, 6-2 straight set win at No. 3 singles.
Estefania Hernandez posted a 6-2, 6-1 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Ipek Sakiroglu recorded a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win at No. 5 singles.
Kalomoira Ralli added a 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 three-set win at No. 6 singles.
Neus Ramos dropped a tough 4-6, 6-7 decision at the top singles position.
The Lakers will close out the home weekend on Saturday, April 12
th for senior day when they host Michigan Tech. First serve is set for 2:00 PM at the GVSU Tennis Courts.
