GVSU Crowns Four All-Americans And Finishes 14th At NCAA Wrestling Championships

The Grand Valley State wrestling team finished 14th at the 2025 NCAA DII Wrestling National Championships with a team score of 32. The Lakers crowned a program-best four All-Americans in just its second year as a varsity sport after a 32-year hiatus. 
 
Junior Chris Donathan (149) dropped a tough 10-7 semifinal decision and finished sixth after medically forfeiting two consolation matches. Donathan earned his first All-American plaudit in his career. Junior Wyatt Miller (197) dropped his opening match and then won three consecutive bouts to earn All-American honors for the second consecutive year.  Miller finished sixth with a 3-3 record.  Junior Josh Kenny (174) claimed a 7-3 win in the consolation seventh-place match to earn his second All-American honor, while junior Carter Blough (285) finished eighth to earn his first All-America honor.
