#6 Grand Valley State went 2-1 at the Indianapolis Duals Saturday afternoon. The Lakers claimed a 26-21 victory over #7 McKendree, dropped a 32-14 decision to Maryville and defeated Quincy by a 27-20 margin. Grand Valley State will close out the regular season Saturday, February 15 at Findlay.

Orion Wilson tallied went 3-0 at 125 with three bonus point wins, while #10 Jak Keller (133) also went 3-0 on the day with all three collecting bonus points. #3 Carter Blough went 2-1 on the day, but both wins secured dual wins. Bradley Mayse (165) went 2-0, both coming in bonus-point fashion. Miles Curtis (174) picked up a big fall at 174 versus McKendree.   
 
The Lakers came out fast, winning the opening three matches with bonus points. RS freshman Orion Wilson (125) won by fall over Jason Strope at 1:40, sophomore #10 Jak Keller (133) won by major decision over Anthony Bernardo, 16-5, and RS freshman C.J. Poole (141) won by fall at 2:39 of the opening period to give GVSU a 16-0 lead. Junior Miles Curtis (174) won by fall over Lucas Wendling at 5:38. Leading 22-21 and needing a win to clinch the dual, #3 Carter Blough (285) claimed a 14-3 major decision over Tyler Haynes to seal the dual win.

Orion Wilson claimed a tech. fall win (17-1) at 125 over Sam Shafer and #3 Jak Keller tallied a major decision win at 133 (13-3) over Evan Binder to give the Lakers a 9-0 lead. However, the absence of four ranked starters for GVSU took its toll and Maryville won seven of the last eight matches to claim the dual win. GVSU RS freshman Bradley Mayse (165) claimed a 19-3 tech. fall win over Nick Baer.
