KENOSHA, Wis. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 80-72 at Parkside Saturday (Feb. 15) afternoon. The Lakers fall to 13-11 on the season and 9-7 in the GLIAC.
Jalen Charity scored a career high 20 points on 8-11 shooting from the field and four rebounds.
Kaden Brown notched 14 points shooting 4-8 from three-point range with three rebounds and two assists. Williams Dunn put up 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds on 6-10 shooting from the field.
Cam Regnerus posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds on a perfect 4-4 shooting.
Parkside was led by Jack Rose with 23 points shooting 4-8 from behind the arc. Nick Brown scored 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds going 7-12 from the field with five three-pointers. Josiah Palmer notched 19 points and dished out seven assists going 8-10 from the free throw line.
GVSU shot 46% from the field and 30% from three. Parkside shot 45% from the field and knocked down 14 shots from three-point range at a 41% clip. The Lakers out rebounded the Rangers 34-31 as both teams grabbed nine offensive rebounds. GVSU outscored Parkside 42-20 in the paint and 17-12 in second chance points.
The Lakers will close out the final four games of the regular season at home. GVSU will host Wayne State next week Thursday (Feb. 20) at 8:00 PM. The Lakers will then welcome Saginaw Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 22) at 3:00 PM. Both games will be streamed live on FloSports and can be listened live on Thunder Country 107.3.
