The NCAA released the final Division II football attendance figures for the 2025 season Tuesday (Dec. 23), and for the 14th consecutive year Grand Valley State led the nation in Division II attendance. Lubbers Stadium, with a seating capacity of 10,440, hosted 68,612 fans for an average of 11,435 per game.
The Lakers held four of the top 10 on campus spots among the single-game leaders nationally, and played in seven of the top 24 on campus attended games.
15,188 – GVSU vs. Davenport
13,836 – GVSU vs. Black Hills State
12,136 – GVSU vs. Lincoln (Pa.)
11,394 – GVSU vs. Michigan Tech
9,814 – GVSU vs. Saginaw Valley State
The seven remaining schools in the GLIAC posted an attendance average of 2,190.
Grand Valley State will open the 2026 season at Charleston (W.V) on Thursday, Aug. 27, with the 2026 home opener being played on Thursday, Sept. 3 versus West Texas A&M at 7 p.m.
