ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's volleyball hosted Wayne State for a Thursday night GLIAC tilt. Just as they did both times last season, the two teams played the full five sets, with Wayne State coming away victorious. GVSU is now 9-3 overall and 4-1 in GLIAC play.
Wayne State won set one 25-22, but GVSU responded with the next two sets, taking them 25-17 and 25-15. The Warriors tied the match at two with a 25-12 set four win, before pulling out a 15-11 win in set five.
Kendall Stover and
Kennedy Arp were tied for the team lead with 10 kills each.
Meghan O'Sullivan and
Kate Goudreau each recorded nine kills. O'Sullivan dished out 23 assists and
Caroline Baker had 22. Libero
Olivia Behen posted 21 digs and O'Sullivan had 13.
