MARQUETTE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State women's volleyball team dropped the first game of their weekend Upper Peninsula roadtrip, falling to Northern Michigan in five sets.
The Wildcats took the opening two sets by the scores of 25-23 and 26-24, but the Lakers answered back to take three and four, 25-17 and 25-23. In the fifth set, NMU went up 8-4, but the Lakers answered back to tie the set at eight. With the set tied at 12, the Wildcats rattled off the final three points to take the match.
Meghan O'Sullivan posted 17 kills, 16 assists, and 13 digs for her fifth triple-double of the season.
Kennedy Arp had 10 kills on a .318 hitting percentage.
Caroline Baker recorded a career-high 34 assists and
Olivia Behen totaled a career-high 29 digs.
