Women's Golf to Play in Folds of Honor Challenge at The Meadows

ALLENDALE, MICH. – The GVSU women's golf team will tee off at their home course for the first time this season, hosting the Folds of Honor Challenge this week at the Meadows.

This will be the first year in which there will be a women's version of the event, as the winner will qualify for next season's Folds of Honor Collegiate. The five teams vying for the title with the Lakers will be Lincoln University, Ferris State, Findlay, West Texas A&M, and Oklahoma City University. Findlay and West Texas A&M were both ranked inside the top five in the WGA preseason poll.
 
The Lakers opened their season earlier this week at the Folds of Honor Collegiate out in Grand Haven. GVSU placed 14th as a team, with Olivia Stoll placing the best on the team at 29th. Playing along with Stoll this week are Paula Badino, Julia Sanchez, Rachael Krieger, and Charlotte Goersch. Megan Miron and Evelyn Park will play as individuals as well.
