Olivia Stoll Qualifies For Meijer LPGA Classic

BELMONT, MICH. - Grand Valley State senior women's golfer Olivia Stoll earned a spot in this week's Meijer LPGA Classic, becoming the first player in program history to play in the event since Gabby Shipley qualified in 2019.

Stoll claimed the final qualifying spot, taking second at the local qualifying round. She shot a round of 71 (-1) to tie with another golfer for second, then beat her in the playoff to earn her spot. She is just one of 144 golfers participating in the event this weekend and one of only three amateurs to earn a spot.

The Meijer LPGA will start this Thursday up in Belmont, Michigan at the Blythefield Country Club. The tournament will be broadcast on the Golf Channel from 3-6 on Thursday through Saturday, then on Sunday from 1-2. From 2-4 on Sunday, the broadcast will switch over to CBS.
