The Grand Valley State Athletics Department has partnered with Infuxer, providing student-athletes the opportunity to monetize on their name, image and likeness (NIL) by allowing fans to purchase personalized merchandise.
Â
Influxer is an officially licensed vendor, creating co-branded apparel customized with players' names and numbers. Through this partnership, Influxer will provide education and training on marketing, entrepreneurship, and personal branding.
Â
"Influxer is excited about this partnership with the Lakers to bring a great NIL opportunity that benefits everyone," said Keith Miller, Influxer Vice President. "Keri Becker, Doug Lipinski and the administration have been extremely diligent in not only emphasizing the end product of the opportunity, but also recognizing the business experience the process brings to student-athlete development."
Â
Every student-athlete at GVSU will have the opportunity to create their own webpage and showcase personalized gear that is available for purchase.
Â
"We are always looking for ways to improve the NIL opportunities for our student-athletes and this partnership with Influxer is another step in that direction," said Deputy Director of Athletics, Doug Lipinski.Â
Â
In addition, Grand Valley State athletics partnered with Athlete's Thread, which allows GVSU student-athletes an opportunity to earn royalties from the sale of co-branded apparel featuring their name and number, combined with the official Grand Valley State Athletics logo.Â
