Grand Valley State (15-13, 7-4) split a GLIAC twinbill at home with Parkside Saturday, falling 13-2 in game one, but coming back with a 3-0 shutout victory in game two. The fourth and final game of the weekend series will be Sunday at the GVSU Baseball Field. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
 
Game 2
Mike Morawski was the story of game two, tossing a complete game, 1-hit, shutout with a career-high 13 strikeouts. The lone hit off Morawski was slow rolling infield single. Morawski (3-3) is 2-0 in his last two starts, yielding one run on six hits with 18 strikeouts in 16.1 innings. 
 
GVSU scored a single run in the bottom of the fifth when C MacArthur Graybill reached first on a third strike wild pitch. Graybill advanced to second on a Logan Anderson groundout and scored on a double to center off the bat of 2B Ayden VanEnkevort. 
 
The Lakers added two runs in the bottom of the sixth. CF Kyle Nott singled, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. RF Nathan Logan walked and DH Connor McCormack reached first on a wild pitch after a strikeout. McCormack advanced to second, while Nott and Logan scored on an errant throw to first in an attempt to get McCormack at first after the wild pitch. 
 
Nott, SS Connor Schuman, LF Ryan Dykstra and VanEnkevort each singled, while Logan walked twice. Nott, Logan and Graybill each scored and VanEnkevort provided the only RBI of the game with his double. 
  
Game 1
McCormack was 2-3 with a home run and run scored, while Nott and VanEnkevort each reached base via a hit. VanEnkevort drove in C Brendan Guciardo with a sac fly. Owen Avery (2-1) was tagged with the loss.
