MIDLAND, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team dominated Ferris State 4-0 in the GLIAC Semifinals Saturday (Apr. 27) morning at Midland Tennis Center. The Lakers advance to the GLIAC Championship against Wayne State tomorrow (Apr. 28) at 10:00 AM.
GVSU claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.
Taylor Barrett and
Neus Ramos claimed a dominate 6-0 win at the top doubles position.
Estefania Hernandez and
Vale Mozas tallied a dominate 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Rachel Sam made it 2-0 GVSU with a 6-4, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.
Neus Ramos pushed the lead to 3-0 with a 6-1, 6-4 straight set win at No. 4 singles.
Vale Mozas clinched the 4-0 win with a 7-6, 6-2 straight set win at No. 6 singles.
The Lakers will take on Wayne State in the GLIAC Championship tomorrow morning. First serve is set for 10:00 AM at Midland Tennis Center.
