ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team swept Lake Superior State 7-0 Friday (Apr. 19) afternoon at the GVSU Tennis Courts. The Lakers improved to 10-8 on the season and 4-2 in the GLIAC.
GVSU swept doubles action to claim the doubles point.
Taylor Barrett and
Neus Ramos tallied a 6-3 win at the top doubles position.
Vasileia Griva and
Rachel Sam posted a 6-4 win at No. 2 doubles.
Estefania Hernandez and
Vale Mozas added a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action,
Vasileia Griva claimed a 7-5, 7-6 straight set win at the top singles position.
Taylor Barrett tallied a 6-0, 2-6, 6-3 three-set win at No. 2 singles.
Anna Soteras posted a dominate 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.
Neus Ramos dominated at No. 4 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win.
Rachel Sam claimed a 7-5, 4-6, 10-7 three-set win at No. 5 singles.
Vale Mozas added a dominate 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles.
The Lakers will close out the regular season tomorrow at home when they host Michigan Tech. First serve is set for 5:00 PM at Premier Athletic and Tennis Club.
