Spring Classic Video Link
Grand Valley State will host the 2024 Spring Classic presented by the Michigan Army National Guard Saturday (April 13) at 12Â noon in the Kelly Family Sports Center. The final practice is being held inside because of Lubbers Stadium renovations. The event is free to the public and will be aired live on FloSports. In addition, the Spring Classic will air live on your radio dial at The Ticket (1340 AM) and WLCS (98.3 FM).

GVSU Football merchandise will be available and Athletics' representatives will be on hand for season ticket sign-ups and to help answer any questions. Free parking will be in lots F & G and the Kelly Family Sports Center concession stand will be open. Â

The voice of Laker Football, Steve Lloyd-Jones and Bob Mitchell will have an interactive broadcast on FloSpots with on the field interaction with coaches and players.Â

Second-year head coach
Scott Wooster will put the finishing touches on his second 15-practice spring session. The Lakers return 54 letterwinners, including 26 that have started games during their careers.Â

"We have had a tremendous spring in terms of growth in all facets of our team both on and off the field," said Wooster. "I am so excited with physical and mental approach that the 2024 team has taken through the entirety of our spring session. Our younger players were able to get the reps they needed for a quality evaluation of what the roles will be within the framework of our team when we begin summer workouts," added Wooster.Â

Grand Valley State will open the 2024 season at home versus Central State on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
