IRVINE, Calif. – The Grand Valley State women's tennis team fell in the final match of their California road trip to Concordia Irvine Thursday (Mar. 7) afternoon. The Lakers drop to 5-6 on the season.
 
Concordia Irvine claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. In singles action, Anna Soteras claimed a 6-2, 6-4 straight set win at No. 3 singles. Vale mozas tallied a 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 three-set win at No. 5 singles. Estefania Hernandez added a 6-2, 6-1 straight set win at No. 6 singles. Rachel Sam dropped a tough 6-4, 2-6, 2-6 three-set decision at No. 4 singles. Taylor Barrett fell 3-6, 1-6 at No. 2 singles. Vasileia Griva dropped a 0-6, 2-6 decision at the top singles position. 
 
The Lakers will be back on the court on March 22^nd when they begin GLIAC conference play at Purdue Northwest. First serve is set for 11:00 AM in Hammond, Indiana.
