Grand Valley State dropped a 4-3 decision at Hillsdale College Wednesday afternoon. The Lakers will be at Purdue Northwest on Friday (Mar. 29) for a GLIAC doubleheader and then host Wayne State on Saturday (Mar. 30) in the home opener.

Jonas Gulbrandsen scored Nott with a sac fly to right. However, the Lakers left the bases load, a theme that haunted them for nine innings.
Hillsdale scored a run in the bottom of the third, two in the fourth and one more in the fifth to take a 4-2 lead. The Lakers answered in the top of the seventh on back-to-back triples from LF
Ryan Dykstra and Gulbrandsen.
GVSU recorded 12 hits, but left 11 on base, including eight in scoring position. The Lakers recorded four triples, a double and home run on the day.
Dykstra was 2-4 with two triples and a run scored, while Schuman was 2-5 with an RBI and run scored. Gulbrandsen drove in two runs .
Collin Bradley was tagged with the loss, yielding three runs and five hits with three strikeouts.
