Grand Valley State (10-8, 2-0 GLIAC) swept a GLIAC doubleheader Saturday from Parkside at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Ill. The game was played at Saint Xavier due to snow in Kenosha, Wisconsin. The Lakers won game one 7-2, followed by a 12-1 victory in game two. GVSU will play Saginaw Valley State Sunday at Orzinga Field in Crestwood, Illinois Sunday (Mar. 24). First pitch is set for 1 p.m. (ET).

Parkside took a 1-0 lead with a run in the bottom of the first, but right fielder Nate Logan singled with one out in the fourth and advanced to second on a throwing error. Pinch hitter Connor McCormack tripled home Logan and catcher Brennan Guciardo singled home McCormack to give the Lakers a 3-1 lead.Â

The Lakers scored five runs on one hit in the top of the second. RF Nate Logan was hit by a pitch and DH Connor McCormack followed with a single. From that point on two walks, two hit by pitch and two Ranger errors led to five GVSU runs. C
