DETROIT – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 73-66 Thursday (Feb. 8) night at Wayne State. The Lakers fall to 9-12 on the season and 6-5 in the GLIAC.
Ethan Alderink led the Lakers in scoring with 16 points shooting 4-8 from the field and 7-8 from the free throw line. Alderink also led the team bringing down seven rebounds.
Britain Harris scored 13 points off the bench going a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line while also hauling in six boards and dishing out three assists.
William Dunn notched 12 points on 5-10 shooting including two 3-pointers.
Marius Grazulis added eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.
The Lakers shot 40.8% from the field and shot 7-18 from three. GVSU went 19-23 for 82% from the free throw line. Both teams notched 34 rebounds and the Lakers outscored Wayne State 30-16 from the bench.
The Lakers will close out this week's road trip at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon in University Center, Michigan. Tipoff is set for 3:00 PM after the conclusion of the women's game. The game will be streamed live on FloSports and you can listen live on the radio at Thunder Country 107.3.
