HAMMOND, Ind. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 78-76 at Purdue Northwest Saturday (Feb. 17) afternoon. The Lakers fall to 7-7 in the GLIAC and 10-14 overall.
 
William Dunn and Mason Docks led the Lakers in scoring with 17 points each. Docks shot 6-11 from the field dishing out four assists and hauling in three rebounds. Dunn knocked down three 3-pointers and recorded six rebounds. Ethan Alderink notched 14 points and six rebounds. Marius Grazulis added eight points and a game high 11 rebounds, with five being offensive boards. 
 
The Lakers shot 44.6% from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc. Purdue Northwest outrebounded GVSU 40-39 and 19-14 in offensive rebounds. The Lakers scored 32 points from the bench, while Purdue Northwest scored 18 bench points. GVSU outscored the Pride 34-24 in the paint.
 
The Lakers will return home next week for their final homestand of the regular season. GVSU will host rival Ferris State on Thursday (Feb. 22) at 8:00 PM before hosting Lake Superior State on Saturday (Feb. 24) at 3:00 PM. Both games will be streamed live on FloSports and can be listened live on the radio.
