The Learfield Directors' Cup fall standings are out for NCAA Division II and 16-time champion Grand Valley State leads the way with 331.00 points. The Lakers recorded four top 10 finishes and scored in all five fall sports. Wingate is in second place with 283.50 points, Colorado State Pueblo is in third with 282.50 points,
Cal Poly Pomona is in fourth place with 267.00 points and Colorado School of Mines rounds out the top five with 248.00 points.
The women's cross country team finished fourth (80) and men's cross country was fifth (75), followed by women's soccer in fifth (73), football in ninth (53) and volleyball was 17th (50). women's cross country, men's cross country and women's soccer each captured NCAA DII Midwest Regional Championships, while football and volleyball advanced to the second round of NCAA tournament action.
The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and
USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
