The Open Mat has released its most recent top 25 team and individual rankings and Grand Valley State continued to move up. As a team, the Lakers are ranked #11, the highest-ever team ranking for a program in its second year of existence after a 32-year hiatus. GVSU is coming an eighth-place finish at the 2024 Midwest Classic where four reached the podium. 

Five Lakers are ranked individually among the top 13 nationally, including three in the top 10.

133 - #13 Jak Keller is 12-9 and coming off a sixth-place finish at the Midwest Classic with a 3-3 record. Reached the semifinals.

174 - #3 Josh Kenny is 8-3 and coming off a fourth-place finish at the Midwest Classic where he was 4-2. 

184 - #9 Brayden Mirjavadi is 12-8 and coming off a seventh-place finish at the Midwest Classic where he was 4-2.

197 - #11 Wyatt Miller was 1-2 at the Midwest Classic.

285 - #4 Carter Blough is 12-3 and coming off a second-place finish at the Midwest Classic where he was 4-1.
