#12 Grand Valley State finished eighth at the 45
th annual Midwest Classic with a team score of 75.5 points. The tournament, hosted by Indianapolis, featured 15 of the top 25 teams in the country. GVSU is in its second season back as a varsity sport after a 32-year hiatus. Parkside won the event with 147 points, followed by defending National Champion Central Oklahoma (135) and Glenville State (127).

Maclain Morency dropped a consolation round five match 4-1 in sudden victory to Sean Howk of SW Minnesota State at 157.
#6 Blough opened the championship round Sunday with a 4-1 sudden victory in the quarterfinals and then a 4-0 win in the semifinals over #7 Lloyd Reynolds from Parkside. Blough led 1-0 going into the final 30 seconds and scored a take down after a wild scramble in the final 10 seconds. #8 Ryan Herman from Maryville claimed a 6-0 win over Blough in the title match.
#1 Kenny claimed a tough 4-2 win over Lawson Losee of Upper Iowa in the quarterfinals but dropped an 11-7 decision to #5 Hayden Pummel of Glenville State in the semis. Kenny claimed a wild 16-11 win the consolation semifinals that featured a flurry of points in the final five seconds with Kenny leading 11-10. #3 Cole Hernandez defeated Kenny in the third-place match.

Jak Keller advanced to the semifinals with a fall in 2:59 of the first period over #4 Matthew Chi from Parkside. Kenny fell in the consolation semifinal and medically forfeited his last match.
#17 Mirjavadi dropped his quarterfinal match to #6 Garrett Wells of Central Oklahoma by an 8-4 score, but bounced back with a pin over Peyton Lemon of Ashland to earn a spot on the podium. #7 Kyle Homet of Glenville State claimed a 14-10 victory over Mirjavadi in the consolation semifinals, but defeated #11 Zeke Waltz of McKendree 4-3 to finish seventh.
