ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 67-63 Wednesday (Nov. 27) afternoon at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. The Lakers fall to 3-2 on the season, while Hillsdale moves to 6-1.
GVSU shot 39% from the field and 29% from three, while Hillsdale shot 41% from the field and 35% from three. The Lakers outrebounded the Chargers 45-31. GVSU hauled in 14 offensive rebounds, while Hillsdale grabbed seven offensive boards.
Jalen Charity led GVSU in scoring tying a career high 15 points on 7-11 shooting. Charity also grabbed four rebounds and blocked one shot.
Ethan Alderink scored 13 points on 4-7 shooting with four rebounds.
Trevon Gunter added eight points with two made three-pointers.
William Dunn led GVSU with eight rebounds, while knocking down two three-pointers.
GVSU will be back in action Saturday (Nov. 30) evening when they host Aquinas. Tipoff is set for 5:00 PM at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. The game will be streamed live on FloSports and can be listened live on Thunder Country 107.3.
