Grand Valley State University Athletics proudly unveiled its highly anticipated six-million-dollar renovation to Lubbers Stadium. Fans were welcomed with a renovated North concessions stand, more restrooms and an upper-level viewing deck, sponsored by Family Fare.
Since then, the #2 Grand Valley State Football team has moved to 5-0 on the season. The deck, the newest feature of Lubbers Stadium, has been a focal point of excitement throughout the first three home games, which have drawn a total crowd of 40,020 attendees. Intended to elevate the game-day experience, the deck has proved to be a hit among fans throughout the beginning of this season.
Fans may have also noticed Family Fare's presence on the deck during the first few home games. With a 55-year history, Family Fare is SpartanNash's flagship retail banner, with a store located near the GVSU campus at 6710 Lake Michigan Drive. Family Fare hopes to foster a sense of community by offering special experiences for fans and students at games throughout the season. At this Saturday's Military Appreciation Football Game, Family Fare will again be stationed up on the deck engaging with our community.
