SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team lost to Lake Superior State 91-55 Thursday (Jan. 18) night. The Lakers fall to 7-9 on the season and 4-2 in the GLIAC.
Ethan Alderink and
Jalen Charity led the Lakers with 10 points each. Alderink has now scored in double figures in seven consecutive games.
Mason Docks notched eight points, while
Charles Turner scored six shooting 2-3 from beyond the arc.
Shamus Thompson led the Lakers hauling in eight rebounds, while
William Dunn brought down seven.
GVSU shot 28% from the field tonight, 33% from three, and 81% from the free throw line. The Lakers notched 21 second chance points to Lake Superior State's eight. LSSU shot 66% from the field, 63% from three, and 81% from the free throw line.
The Lakers will conclude this week's road trip in Big Rapids on Saturday (Jan 18) afternoon against rival Ferris State. Tipoff is set for 3:00 PM.
