BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – The Grand Valley State men's basketball team fell 86-73 Saturday (Jan. 20) afternoon to Ferris State. The Lakers fall to 7-10 on the season and 4-3 in the GLIAC.
Britain Harris and
Mason Docks led the Lakers in scoring with 14 points each. Docks shot 6-10 from the floor and Harris hauled in six rebounds.
Ethan Alderink scored 11 points and extended his double figure scoring streak to eight games. Alderink led the Lakers with seven rebounds.
Trevor Smith added 13 points, five rebounds, and led the team with four assists.
The Lakers shot 39% from the field and 76% from the free throw line. GVSU outrebounded Ferris State 39-37 and held a 13-5 offensive rebound margin.

The Lakers will return home next week to resume GLIAC play. GVSU will take on Purdue Northwest on Thursday (Jan. 25) at 8:00 PM. The Lakers will then host Parkside on Sawyers Day on Saturday (Jan. 27) at 3:00 PM.
