Game 1 – GVSU 3, Davenport 1

Hannah Beatus was dealing from the circle once again for GVSU. The nation's leader in ERA threw a complete game and tossed 12 strikeouts. She allowed two runs on seven hits and earned her 10th win of the season.

GVSU scored twice in the sixth inning to extend its lead and put away the first game of the doubleheader.

Hannah Hollister extended the Laker lead in the top of the sixth. She hit a fly ball to left field that went over the left fielder's head and Hollister came all the way around to score for an inside the park home run.

Megan Koenigshof drove in another run in the sixth to give GVSU a, 5-2, lead. She grounded out to second base to drive in Morgan Spicer.

The Lakers added two runs in the top of the seventh. Joanna Cirrincione scored on an error and Lydia Goble scored on a fielder's choice to pad the GVSU lead in the final inning.

Spicer got the Lakers on the board in the top of the fourth, sending a line drive over the right-field wall for a solo home run. Spicer's home run was her first of the season.

Davenport responded in the bottom half of the fourth inning, scoring one on an RBI single from Emma Miller, knotting the game back up at one run apiece.

The Lakers hit back-to-back sacrifice flies to give GVSU a, 3-1, lead in the top half of the fifth inning. Lydia Goble and Morgan Wagner hit back-to-back sacrifice flies to drive in a pair of runs to retake the lead.

Davenport added a run in the home half of the fifth inning, making it a, 3-2, game after five innings.

Game 2 – GVSU 6, Davenport 2 (10 Innings)

The Lakers went to 10 innings, but ended up completing the sweep, winning, 6-2.

In the top of 10th inning, with the international tiebreak rule enforced (runner on second base to begin the inning), Liberti Fair kicked off the inning with a single and advancing Morgan Spicer to third base.

Eliana Eiland was up next and hit a single back up the middle to score Spicer, making it, 3-2, Lakers.

After the Lakers loaded the bases, Joanna Cirrincione hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Fair. A throwing error from the Davenport shortstop helped Eiland score on the play, giving GVSU a, 5-2, advantage.
