The Grand Valley State women's tennis team claimed a 4-2 victory over Purdue Northwest in GLIAC Tournament semifinal action. GVSU will square off against Wayne State Sunday at the Midland Tennis Center Sunday (April 23). First serve is set for 2 p.m.
 
The Lakers tallied the doubles point with wins by Taylor Barrett and Vasileisa Griva at No. 1 (6-3) and Ana Romero and Amanda Diaz at No. 3 (6-3).
 
Griva recorded a comeback win at No. 1 singles, dropping the first set 2-6, but taking set two 6-2 and a clinched the win with a 6-3 third set win. Estefania Hernandez claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles and Amanda Diaz won a 6-0, 6-2 match at No. 6 singles.
