ALLENDALE, MICH. – It was a day of championships for the Grand Valley men's golf program, as the team and individual
Drew Coble won the Arendsen Invitational today, with Coble winning the individual title in dramatic fashion.
Coble came into today eight strokes behind the leader, but he staged a furious comeback, shooting a 65 (-6) to tie Findlay's Tanner Grzegorczyk and force a playoff. Both players parred the first playoff hole, sending the match to a second winner take all hole. On the second playoff hole, Grzegorczyk put his second shot into the woods and had to take a drop, leaving the door wide open for Coble, who took advantage by putting his second shot right next to the green and sank a short putt a few strokes later to secure his first collegiate individual tournament title.
